Miranda's Application Server is the hardware at the heart of the iControl system, providing control, monitoring, logging and interface services.

Unifying device control
The Application Server unifies control of multiple Miranda and third party devices by Ethernet, RS-422 and SNMP
Protocol translation and mapping of interfaces to IP for iControl
Provides local and remote access to all devices, and is designed to provide simple system installation and configuration
Acts as a store for all device drivers and workstation applications
Acts as web server for customized HTML network representations
