HMP-1801

The Densité HMP-1801 is a single card, solid state media server, which can capture and playback HD and SD video sequences. The HMP-1801 is ideal for playback of clips that are used repeatedly, such as full screen promos and animated apology sequences. The HMP-1801 is also ideal for filling side panels, introduced by up/down conversion, with animated graphics to improve the on-air presentation and stereoscopic playback.

Clip capture, content management, and playback can be controlled manually using a dedicated web interface, or by the iControl monitoring and control system. Automated control can be performed by GPI or the VDCP protocol.

The HMP-1801 relies on widely available, low-cost Flash Memory (Compact Flash) for media storage, and makes no use of moving mechanical parts for maximum long-term reliability and fast access times. JPEG2000 video compression is used to maximize storage space, while also preserving broadcast quality. The content can be loaded on the card using dedicated 10/100 Mb Ethernet media transfert port by using provided web applet or for more automated workflow, the advanced asset management tool software option is available.

The card can be genlocked using SD or HD reference signals, or it can use its internal timebase-accurate oscillator. If multiple cards are installed in the same frame, the cards can be locked to a common frame reference using the REF-1801 reference option.
