Kaleido-X offers rich integration with the NVISION router family, and third party routers, to allow expansion up to 1152 video inputs and 96 multi-viewer outputs. Miranda's Cluster Feature enables multiple multi-viewers to behave like a single system from an operator's perspective, with full layout flexibility.
Since the 7RU Kaleido-X frame can accept up to 96 video inputs (3Gbps/HD/SD /Analog), the number of video windows per monitor can be much higher than with the smaller Kaleio-Modular and Kaleido-X16 multi-viewers. This higher image density per screen can be beneficial for high channel count continuity monitoring applications, such as playout centers.
In the example below, two NVISION 8576 routers are integrated with 12 Kaleido-X (96 x 8) multi-viewers. Each Kaleido-X frame can process up to 96 video inputs and provide up to 512 instances of virtual video monitors over eight multi-viewer outputs. The entire system is fully integrated to offer seamless control of the source assignments via On-screen Mouse operation or by a router control panel.
